Cutting and preparation

Panels are cut and adjusted on site when the setting out requires it. The general recommendations below apply to installation work; the specific dimensions, spacings and requirements are in the current manual.
  • Tools and cutting method as set out in the current manual
  • Dust extraction and personal protective equipment
  • Storage and handling of the panel on site
  • Edge and trim treatment according to the series, the detail and the current manual

Mechanical fixing on site

KMEW
Mechanical fixing
  • No drying times for the cladding
  • More predictable work sequence
  • Less wet waste on site
  • Panel + clip + subframe
  • Less dependence on drying processes
Fixing clip on the subframe holding the edge of the panel

Installation is still subject to safety, wind, heavy rain, ice, access and storage. The real advantage is that the cladding does not need to cure or dry wet layers before work can continue.

Final quality check

Final check before handover. The acceptance criteria are those of the project and of the current manual.
  • Plumb and alignment of the subframe
  • Ventilation cavity clear and continuous
  • Joints and spacings in accordance with the current manual
  • Junctions and trims correctly executed
  • Fixings complete and panels without visible damage
  • Final cleaning of the facade
